Yunlong Liu Lab

Melissa is a Ph.D. student in the IU School of Medicine Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics. She graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Biological Engineering and minors in Computer Science and Biochemistry. Prior to pursuing a Ph.D., Melissa worked as a Bioinformatics Analyst for the Center for Medical Genomics. As part of the Liu lab, Melissa investigates the role of alternative splicing in prenatal cannabis exposure and how specific regulatory variants contribute to the risk for Alcohol Use Disorder.
